Admissions: Test Score and GPA
Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale.
Completion of Secondary School Core Curriculum.

Composite ACT* score of 19 or above, composite SAT score of 1010 or above on the RSAT scale of 1600 or a composite SAT score of 1330 on the former SAT exam with a scale of 2400, or a composite Next Generation ACCUPLACER score of 246. Note: The ACT Writing exam is not required for admission purposes but is required for Education majors.

The Emma Scott Memorial Scholarships were established in 1961 by the Arkansas Education Association to honor Emma Scott. Miss Scott was a former English teacher in Little Rock and AEA staff member who is credited with establishing Future Teachers of America programs in Arkansas.
Completing the FAFSA will enable students to become eligible for federal aid. Federal aid can come in the form of Pell and other grants or a loan. Grant and loan information is available on the FAFSA website. Click the heading to learn more.
An annual scholarship fund has been established by the Arkansas Health Information Management Association. The scholarship is awarded each spring to a deserving health information management major in his/her junior or senior year. The recipient is determined by the Executive Board of the Arkansas Health Information Management Association. Interested students should contact the Health Information Management Program office in Dean Hall Suite 201 to obtain an application. Application deadline is January 31st.

Traditions
ATU is home to a diverse history and culture. Here are some of the most popular traditions:
Tradition Keeper
A student who has maintained the value of the student experience while completing their degree.
Tradition Keepers are awarded Tech Green recognition cords to wear at graduation.
Students will also be recognized in the commencement ceremony program.
Traditions must be completed no later than midterm of the semester you graduate to be included in the program.
You will also have a special designation of ‘Tradition Keeper’ listed on your official university transcripts.
Light the Night
One of the most unique and talked about events on campus, the annual Light the Night event is hosted by International Student Services. This event provides members of the campus community and beyond with an opportunity to enjoy free food and entertainment celebrating the wide variety of cultures represented at Arkansas Tech.

I think living on campus is a great way to get involved with the school, especially as a freshman. We all loved being roommates and I think knowing we had this support system and a sense of comfort in our dorm is what allowed us to focus on our studies and have a good time as well.
