Tuition & Fees
At MUW, in-state and out-of-state students receive the same tuition rate. And most importantly, its affordable!

Mississippi University for women
Admissions & Acceptance
In order to attend classes at Mississippi University for Women, students must gain official admission to the University and must complete the enrollment process, which includes advisement, registration, and payment of tuition and fees. In order to gain acceptance, students must meet one of the following conditions:
Option 1
Complete the CPC with a minimum of 3.20 high school GPA on the CPC.
Option 2
Complete the CPC with a minimum of 2.50 high school GPA on the CPC or a class ranking in the top 50% of the class, and an ACT score of 16 or higher.
Option 3
Complete the CPC with a minimum of 2.00 high school GPA on the CPC and an ACT score of 18 or higher.
Option 4
Satisfy the NCAA Division I standard for student-athletes who are “full qualifiers” are accepted as equivalent to the admission standard.
Additionally, students standing within the top 50% of their graduating class along with a 16 composite score on the ACT or SAT equivalent are eligible for enrollment.

Nursing
The baccalaureate program in nursing is designed to prepare a nurse generalist who exercises leadership in the prevention of illness and promotion of health as a member of the community and professional nursing and as an agent of change who helps to bring about modifications of nursing practice to meet emerging health needs.
Culinary arts
The bachelor of applied science in business administration allows students who have graduated with an associate of applied science degree from an approved technical field to transfer career and technical credit and have it count toward a baccalaureate degree. All major coursework can be completed online. Culinary Arts is designed for a student interested in managing a kitchen or owning their own restaurant. Courses included marketing, accounting, and law courses which relate specifically to business side of the culinary world.
Sports Management
The bachelor of applied science in business administration allows students who have graduated with an associate of applied science degree from an approved technical field to transfer career and technical credit and have it count toward a baccalaureate degree. All major coursework can be completed online. Students concentrating in Sports Management will develop an understanding of the business side of the sports, fitness, and recreation industries.

As a chemistry major, you will be taking chemistry courses that range from organic chemistry to physical chemistry to biochemistry and introduction to pharmaceutical sciences. Chemistry graduates take various paths after graduation which include professional schools (medical, pharmacy, dental, veterinary), graduate study, and employment in science-related positions.
